Getting Ready for Christmas

I used the wonderful artwork called Tis The Season by Deborah Grieves which you must be licensed to use. You can purchase this tube from The PSP Project  which can now be found here  

I am using a beautiful scrapkit called Its Christmas Time which is PTU by Creative Intentionz and can be found at The PSP Project here  

Font of Choice  

Mask of Choice I used WeeScotslass WSL220 which can be found here

The tut was written in Paint Shop Pro X4 but should work in others.

 Note When I resize I use these settings: (make sure that pixel dimensions is on percent and in advanced setting it is smart size lock aspect ratio is checked and resize all layers is unchecked) also please save often and for placement on the tag you can always refer to the example tag if that helps.

Let's get started!!

Open a new image 800 X 800 pixels with a transparent background.  You can resize later to meet your needs.

Copy & paste paper11 from the scrapkit onto your new image and apply your mask of choice. (Click layers, load save mask, make sure fit to canvas, source luminance and hide all mask is checked then click load)

In layers right click on mask hit delete and answer yes to the popup. Now right click on group layermerge merge group.  Resize by 107%

Copy & paste paper10 from the scrapkit onto your new image and apply your mask of choice. (Click layers, load save mask, make sure fit to canvas, source luminance and hide all mask is checked then click load)

In layers right click on mask hit delete and answer yes to the popup. Now right click on group layer merge merge group.

Open wreath2 copy & paste to your image and place in the right hand top of your mask

Open candycanes1 copy & paste to your image and place at the top of your mask in the middle slightly to the right on your wreath

Open candycanes2 and copy & paste to your image and place just below candycane1

Open candycane3 copy & paste to your image and place just below candycanes2

Open bow1 copy & paste to your image flip horizonal and place in the middle of candycanes3

Open nutcracker1 copy & paste to your image and place on the right side of your mask in the middle

Open nutcracker2 copy & paste to your image and place on the left of nutcracker1

Open christmastree copy & paste to your image and place on the left side of your mask in the middle

Open candlewreath copy & paste to your image and place on the left side of nutcracker2 by his feet

Open your tube of choice and copy & paste to your image resize as needed (I resized by 70%) and place in the middle of your image

Add a dropshadow of choice to your tube, bow or anything you would like to!

Add your copyrights and name of choice and you are finished!!

Open wheel copy & paste to your image and place at the top of your mask in the middle

Open book and copy & paste to your image and place it in the middle of your tree

Open bridge copy & paste to your image and place it on the bottom right of your book

Open gnarledlog copy & paste to your image and place it o the right side of your mask in the middle

Open leaves2 copy & paste to your image and place it on the top of the gnarledlog

Open your tube of choice and copy & paste to your image resize as needed (I resized by 75%) and place  in the middle of your image

Open rollinglog copy & paste to your image and place on bottom of your tube

Open bucket copy & paste to your image and place on the left end of the rollinglog

Open bottle copy & paste to your image and place in front of your bucket

Open jarofteeth copy & paste to your image and place on the bottom right of the rollinglog

Open leaves1 copy & paste to your image and place on the bottom middle slightly up from the bottom

Open mushroom copy & paste to your image and place on the right side of leaves1

Open squirrel copy & paste to your image resize by 50% and place on the left corner of the book

Add a dropshadow of choice to your tube squirrel or anything you would like to!

Add your copyrights and name of choice and you are finished!!

Open flower3 copy & paste to your image and place in the top right corner of your mask duplicate and flip horizontal and place just below the first one

Open dress and copy & paste to your image and place it one the right side of your mask in the middle

Open bottle2 copy & paste to your image and place it on the right side of your dress at the bottom

Open bottles2 copy & paste to your image and place it on top of your dress & bottle near the bottom

Open leaves5 copy & paste to your image and place it in the top left corner of your mask

Open leaves4  copy & paste to your image and place just below leaves5

Open leaves3 copy & paste to your image and place below leaves4

Open leaves1 copy & paste to your image and place below leaves3

Open frame 8 copy & paste to your image resize by 150% and then free rotate 90 degrees and place so that it starts by your wheel and covers half of the wheel  Take your magic wand and click inside the frame with the following settings 

 Go to selections modify and use the following settings

Open paper8 copy & paste to your image and hit selections invert then delete selections none

Open sparkles1  copy & paste to your image (this will be under the frame layer) 

Open cutain2 copy & paste to your image and place on top of the paper layer under your frame

 Open your tube of choice and copy & paste to your image resize as needed (I resized by 55%) and place under your frame layer

Open mask copy & paste to your image and place on the bottom right of your image

Duplicate your tube layer x2 and move down behind the mask placing the eyes of each duplicate in the openings of the mask Take your eraser tool and erase all of the tubes showing outside the openings

Open shoe copy & paste to your image and place next to the left side of the mask

Open blingswirl1 copy & paste to your image and place so that the top part of the bling is on the left bottom corner of your gold frame

Open butterfly copy & paste to your image resize by 75% free rotate by 45 degrees and place on the left side of the bling

Open sparkle3 copy and paste to your image and place on the left side of your frame

Add a dropshadow of choice to your tube, chest or anything you would like to!

Add your copyrights and name of choice and you are finished!!

Open leaf2 copy & paste to your image and place it on the right side of your frame just slightly up from the middle

Open leaf3 copy & paste to your image and place it in the middle right of your frame

Open pumpkin copy & paste to your image and place below your 2 leaves

Open berries copy & paste to your image and place on top of your leaves

Open pilgrimhat copy & paste to your image and place on top of the pumpkin so that the bottom of the hat covers the stem

Open cookedturkey copy & paste to your image and place in the bottom of the candle

Open pie copy & paste to your image and place on the bottom of your pumpkin

Open mashedpotatoes copy & paste to your image and place on the right of your cooked turkey so that it covers half of the turkey

Open musket copy & paste to your image and place it across your image from the bottom of the candle to the pilgrimhat

Open ribbon copy & paste to your image and place it across the top of your image

Open your tube of choice and copy & paste to your image resize as needed  and place in the middle of your image

Add a dropshadow of choice to your tube, frame or anything you would like to!

Add your copyrights and name of choice and you are finished!!
