A Blast of Winter

I used the wonderful artwork called January Cold by Shayna Hall which you must be licensed to use. You can purchase her tubes from The PSP Project  which can now be found here

I am using a PTU scrapkit called Winter Blush by Tasha's Playground which can be found at The PSP Project here.

 The tut was written in Paint Shop Pro X4 but should work in others.

Note When I resize I use these settings: (make sure that pixel dimensions is on percent and in advanced setting it is smart size lock aspect ratio is checked and resize all layers is unchecked) also please save often and for placement on the tag you can always refer to the example tag if that helps.

Let's get started!!

Open a new image 800 X 800 pixels with a transparent background.  You can resize later to meet your needs.

Copy & paste paper 7 from the scrapkit onto your new image rsize by 115% and apply your mask of choice. (Click layers, load save mask, make sure fit to canvas, source luminance and hide all mask is checked then click load) In layers right click on mask hit delete and answer yes to the popup. Now right click on group layer merge merge group.  

Open branch2  and copy & paste to your image and place it at the bottom left of your mask  

Open wheel and copy & paste to your image and place it at the bottom right of your mask  

Open leaf2 and copy & paste to your image  duplicate x2 and place them on the right side of your mask starting in the middle and placing the last one at the top of your mask 

Open leaves1 and copy & paste to your image  duplicate x2 and place them on the right side of your mask starting in the middle and placing the last one at the top of your mask 

Open leaves2 and copy & paste to your image  duplicate x2 and place them on the left side of your mask starting in the middle and placing the last one at the top of your mask 

Open frame 4 copy & paste to your image  take your magic wand using the following settings

 and click inside of your frame expand your selections with the following setting

Open paper 9 copy and paste to your image move if need so that it covers the inside of your frame and hit selections invert delete move this layer under your frame do not deselect

Open your tube of choice copy & paste it to your image resize as needed (I resized 120%) and move it so that the part of the tube you wish to keep is situated in the frame opening them hit delete go to selection select none  

Open snowballs copy & paste to your image  and place it on the bottom of your frame

Open snowpile2 copy & paste to your image and place it below snowballs on the bottom

Open branches copy & paste to your image  and place it on the top of your snowpile

Open wind copy & paste to your image  and place it on the top of your snowpile & branches

Open pinecone copy & paste to your image  and place it on the top of your snowpile & branches

Open sled copy & paste to your image  and place it on the left side of your snowpile & branches

Open ribbon1 copy & paste to your image  and place it so that it goes above your frame at the top

Open your tube of choice copy & paste to your image resize as needed and place it on the left side of your frame Open berry2 copy & paste to your image resize by 31% and place it on the bottom of your frame in the middle

Open element copy & paste to your image and place it in the top right corner of your frame

Add your copyrights and name of choice and you are finished!!
